Xpert Rater can identify quickly the shipping cost for a specific carrier and service level, or it can compare and allow you to "shop" among the carriers competing for your business. Depending on your needs, one "call" to the Xpert Rater can return rates for as few as one carrier and service, or as many as a complete listing of all the carriers and options that are available for that destination.

Xpert Rater can also be used with customized applications for modeling and analyzing known future shipments and daily projections, to pre-determine the most cost-effective way to transport your parcels. For example, for all packages that were orders placed with "Standard Ground" shipping, Xpert Rater can compare the carriers used by your company to find the best delivery for each parcel and even identify opportunities for "bundling" these parcels into shipments that may receive rates that are lower than normal negotiated Ground shipping rates.

Xpert Rater communicates with applications using XML. Regardless of the platform your host Order Entry, or Customer Service software may be running on, if it can support XML communications - the industry standard - it can ask and receive rates from the Xpert Rater! Now your Order Entry call center personnel can have shipping rates available on-screen, with actual, discounted or surcharged rates.
